Wesleyan releases women’s soccer schedule for 2023

BUCKHANNON, W.Va. – The West Virginia Wesleyan women’s soccer program has unveiled their 2023 schedule. The Lady Bobcats will play 18 games in the upcoming campaign with 16 of those being against Mountain East Conference competition.

The Lady ‘Cats will be at Culpepper Stadium for their first two matchups of the season, hosting Walsh on Sept. 3 and California (Pa.) on Sept. 6. Wesleyan hits the road for the first time on Sept. 10 to open up MEC play at Concord before returning home for consecutive matches against Charleston (Sept. 13) and West Virginia State (Sept. 17).

WVWC heads to Glenville State (Sept. 20) and Davis & Elkins (Sept. 23) for their first back-t0-back away games of the season. The Lady Bobcats then close out the month of September against Notre Dame College in Buckhannon on the 27th. Wesleyan begins October on the road at West Liberty on the 1st and at Fairmont State on the 4th, coming back to Culpepper Stadium to take on Alderson Broaddus on Oct. 8.

Head coach Adam Christensen’s squad will travel to Wheeling to face the Cardinals on Oct. 11 prior to welcoming Frostburg State (Oct. 15) and Concord (Oct. 18) for consecutive home matches. The Lady ‘Cats make continuous trips to Charleston to wrap up their season series with UC on Oct. 22 and West Virginia State on Oct. 25. To end the year, Wesleyan hosts Glenville State on Oct. 29 and Davis & Elkins on Nov. 1 for Senior Day.
