Volleyball Lady Bobcats fall at home to Concord, 3-1

BUCKHANNON — The West Virginia Wesleyan volleyball Lady ‘Cats played Concord University at home on Halloween losing a 3-1 contest (25-15, 21-25, 22-25 and 18-25).

It was senior night in the Rockefeller Center as Wesleyan honored their three seniors — Hope Acre-Reed, Makenzie Yates, and Autumn Molenhouse.

Some notable performances from the match offensively was Olivia Albrecht with 16 kills, Arce-Reed with 14 kills, and Emily Denison with 12 kills. Yates totaled an impressive 51 assists and was a proven key contributor for the Lady Bobcats. On the back line, Libero Alexis Moeschler collected 21 digs and played her part in counteracting Concord’s offensive attack.

For Concord, Chloe Thompson collected 15 kills and was assisted by setters Paige Richmond and Declyn Tooze who totaled 39 assists.

The Lady Bobcats are set to take on Glenville State University Friday, Nov. 3 in the Waco Center.
