Upshur County Development Authority names new executive director

BUCKHANNON — The Upshur County Development Authority has named a new executive director.

Skip Gjolberg, Upshur County Development Authority Board President, is pleased to announce the appointment of Jennifer M. Tanner-Bostian, MBA, as the UCDA’s new executive director. Tanner-Bostian comes to the UCDA with over 20 years of experience in business development, strategic project management and client relationship management.

She has worked on many strategic planning efforts for communities, regions and organizations across the United States. Most recently, she served as the Deputy Director of the City of Maricopa, Arizona and the Economic Development Business Specialist, Project Manager and Department Manager for the City.

Tanner-Bostian received her M.B.A. in Project/Technology Management from the University of Phoenix and her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from the University of Texas at El Paso. She is certified as a Professional Community Economic Developer by the Southern Economic Development Council and the Community Development Council. She will begin her work as the UCDA’s Executive Director on August 23rd, 2021.

“On behalf of the Board, I can say that we look forward to welcoming Jennifer to the UCDA and Upshur County,” said Gjolberg. “We are excited to begin working with her in continuing to develop our great businesses and community.”
