Upshur County Clerk now accepting applications for a Deputy County Clerk

The Upshur County Clerk is accepting applications for a Deputy County Clerk.  This is a full-time benefited position.  The salary will be based upon qualifications.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: general Deputy County Clerk duties, taking and transcribing meeting minutes, indexing minutes, letter writing, data entry, assisting with election preparation, assisting in accounts payable and payroll.  Knowledge of spreadsheets and mail merge are beneficial.  Individuals may obtain an application from the County Clerk’s Office located on the first floor of the Upshur County Courthouse, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.  Applications will be accepted until the close of business on February 18, 2022.  Please send completed application, resume and letter of interest to:
