Twirler for A Day coming to West Virginia Wesleyan College this weekend

BUCKHANNON, West Virginia – On Saturday, February 18, West Virginia Wesleyan Bands will host its inaugural Twirler for a Day, featuring members of the Wesleyanettes and twirling Coach Natasha Tucker.

Wesleyan will host 30 guest twirlers ranging in age from 7 to 18 and all skill levels.

“I am excited that we have the opportunity to have Twirler for a Day here at WVWC! This is a chance to bring youth from all over to our campus and for them to experience a college game day!’ Tucker said.

Dr. Robert Palmer, director of athletic bands, added, “We have an opportunity to serve the community in a unique and energetic way. This kind of event is important for us and the area and I am thrilled by the response we’ve had right out of the gate.”

Participants will rehearse throughout the day with Tucker and twirlers from Wesleyan and perform at halftime of the men’s basketball game at 4 p.m. Admission is free to the game. More information can be found at www.wvwc.edu/twirling.
