My Buckhannon is proud to present another spring season of the Hank Ellis All-Stars.

Each week, we will select a male and female athlete at Buckhannon-Upshur who has had an exemplary week on the baseball or softball diamond, the track, the lacrosse field or the tennis courts.

Our Hank Ellis All-Stars for the week of May 12 – May 18 are Jaxon Spratt and Rylen Carlyle.

Spratt is a sophomore catcher on the Buccaneer baseball team. In four games in their regional tournament, Spratt hit .333 and drove in three runs, including hitting two doubles. In a 6-1 win over John Marshall, he had a three-hit performance.

Carlyle is a sophomore on the Lady Buc track and field team. At the Region I Championships, she qualified for the state meet in the long jump, finishing fifth with a leap of 16-00.25. She was also a leg of the 4×200 and 4×400-meter relay teams that placed in the top eight.

Congratulations to Spratt and Carlyle, who are our weekly winners of the Hank Ellis All-Stars honor.
