Tennis ‘Cats earn 6-1 victory over West Liberty

BUCKHANNON, W.Va. – The West Virginia Wesleyan men’s tennis team cruised to a 6-1 victory over West Liberty Thursday afternoon at home. With the win, the Bobcats are back to .500 in MEC play at 3-3 and they are 8-7 overall.

Doubles Play
All three doubles matches were extremely tight with Wesleyan being able to win two of the matches. The teams of Camillo Salvi and Kevin Lin as well as Emanuel Mallya and Kihiro Karasawa won 7-5 and 7-6 but Anthony McIntosh and Andreas Hald Dige fell in a close match 7-5.

Singles Play
The Bobcats dominated singles play, capturing five of the six matches. Karasawa took the first singles match, followed by Mallya’s victory. Salvi and Lin also picked up wins and Andreas Hald Dige took home the victory in the last singles match of the day.
