Tennis Bucs drop 7-0 decision to Bridgeport

BRIDGEPORT – The Buckhannon-Upshur tennis Bucs lost a 7-0 decision on the road to the Bridgeport Indians in Big 10 Conference action last Thursday.

The Bucs failed to win a match against the talented Indians.

The Bucs were without No. 2 singles player Matthew Adams who is out with an injury.

“The boys all had to step up because Matthew is out with an injury right now,” stated Buckhannon-Upshur head coach Jason Rock. “I thought they held their own and stayed in most of the points. Cody (Trainer) did a great job in his first varsity singles tennis match of the season and Mitchell (Tracy) played well up at No. 3 doubles.”

The loss dropped the Bucs to 0-7 overall and 0-5 in the Big 10 Conference.

They were slated to play Lincoln on Monday.

They will be back action Wednesday hosting Morgantown in a non-conference clash at 4 p.m.
