TENNERTON — The Tennerton Lions Club is once more proud to announce our support for a $600-dollar scholarship to be given to a senior attending Buckhannon-Upshur High School and be enrolled or accepted into a university, college, junior college degree program or an approved Technical Program.
Considerations for this award are academic achievement (3.0 or better grade point average), student citizenship, community service participation, financial need and being a member of the Leo Club or a family member of the Lions Club (not required). The Tennerton Lions Club determines the amount of the one-time scholarship to be $600. The funds are paid in two installments of 50 percent the first semester enrolled, with the other 50 percent paid after the successful completion of the first semester.
Copies of the scholarship are available outside of the counselor’s office or online on the high school’s website. They may be returned to the Tennerton Lions Club or to the school counselor by May 1, 2023.
