BUCKHANNON – South Florida Street will be closed today, Wednesday, December 9, 2020, for a street cut repair between Victoria and Hart streets. The Buckhannon Sewer Department is conducting the repair, which is expected to be completed in one day.

West Virginia Wesleyan swept Frostburg State on Friday in Frostburg, with the women edging a 4-3 win and the men cruising to a 7-0 shutout in Mountain East Conference action. Key singles and doubles victories sealed both matches for the Bobcats.

Charles Allen, 93, of Buckhannon, died April 11, 2026, at Holbrook Healthcare Center following an extended illness. He was a U.S. Army veteran and retired from Western Union and the railroad.
