BUCKHANNON – “Your suffering is almost at an end”: Vecna will invade both Stone Tower Brews locations next week.

Vecna’s Takeover: A “Stranger Things”-Themed Week will kick off at Stone Tower Brews in Buckhannon and Bridgeport Monday, Oct. 24, and run through Sunday, Oct. 30. Themed food and drinks will be on offer to celebrate Halloween and the most recent season of “Stranger Things.” The fourth season of the science fiction horror drama TV series came out this summer.

Stone Tower Brews regional manager Courtney Page said there will be six themed drinks in total, and one of them — the Eggo Waffle Latte (a maple pancake cookie butter mixture) — is already available. Page elaborated on the others.

“The Demo’Smoregon Latte is a s’mores latte with strawberry cold foam; the ‘Vecna’s Cursed Soda’ is a raspberry black cherry soda; ‘Suzie do you copy?’ is the Three Musketeers drink, and it’s based on Dustin’s favorite candy bar,” Page said. “’Ghostbusters Slime Soda’ is the Granny Smith caramel apple drink, and the ‘Mad Max’ is a red velvet hot chocolate.”

New food specials will be revealed each day, starting with “Will the Wise,” which is loaded fries, pork belly and beer-battered French fries, and the “Wheeler Family Meatloaf sandwich.”

“On Tuesday we will have the ‘Eggo Waffle Breakfast Taco’; Wednesday we have a ‘Demo’Gorgonzola Burger’ it’s a bleu cheese cheeseburger with lettuce and tomato on a sourdough bun and we have ‘Munson Bites,’ which are chicken wings,” Buckhannon Stone Tower Brews manager Lisa Wolford said. “On Thursday we are doing the ‘Ghostbusters Cold Cut Sandwich’ and Friday we’re doing ‘Dusty Buns,’ which is pork belly Bao buns and a Hawaiian pizza panini. For the waffles, we’re doing ‘Upside Down Blueberry Chicken and Waffles,’ with blueberry habanero maple syrup.”

Wolford said this was her first themed week as manager of the store.

“We went back and forth with a couple of things; somebody suggested a Tim Burton week, but that could have been all over the place,” Wolford said. “The last season of ‘Stranger Things’ just came out and it’s still very popular, so it just made sense and we were all super into it, so we felt like we could do more with that.”

Wolford said she was a little nervous, but she is excited to see the Buckhannon store transformed for the entire week leading up to Halloween.

“I really liked coordinating the decorations,” Wolford said. “I think they really bring conversation when you’re out front because everyone’s talking about it or they’re talking about their favorite parts of the theme or the show we’re using.”

Patrons do not have to be familiar with the series to enjoy the food, drinks and sweets that will be available for a limited time.

“I think it would just be a good experience because we’re going have a lot of special things from Dough Re Mi and My Little Cupcake. We’re splitting orders between the stores, so we’re going to have each at both locations,” Wolford said. “They’re all going to be Stranger Things-themed desserts, so I think it’ll be fun even if you don’t know what ‘Stranger Things’ is because it’s Halloween-themed.”
