Stonewall Resort Director of Golf named Tri-State PGA ‘Resort Merchandiser of the Year’

Weston, W.Va. – The Tri-State PGA, a “Section” of the Professional Golfers Association of America representing 200 facilities in Western Pennsylvania, Western Maryland and West Virginia, recently recognized Mike Rogers, director of golf at Stonewall Resort, as their ‘Resort Merchandiser of the Year’.

“I’m honored to be recognized by my fellow PGA professionals as the Tri-State PGA Section ‘Resort Merchandiser of the Year’,” said Rogers. “The fact is we work hard to provide great products in the golf shop that people want to buy, and we sell them at reasonable prices. Additionally, it certainly helps that the Palmer Course had the most rounds in its 19-year history in 2021.”

Rogers said the award is based on the amount of retail sales per square foot of store space. Stonewall Resort’s golf shop had its second-best year ever for retail sales.

Stonewall Resort’s Golf Shop offers a wide array of resort-logoed apparel, balls, and other items, as well as golf clubs and equipment.

“Our most popular item without question is a digital-camo pullover with the Stonewall Resort logo,” Rogers said. “We still have a good selection of apparel and equipment for those looking for presents for the golfer and non-golfer in the family.”

While the Palmer Course is closed for the year, the Golf Shop remains open. The shop is typically open from 9am-4pm Monday through Friday, but customers are encouraged to call before they come. The Golf Shop can be reached at (304) 269-8885.

For more information, contact Stonewall Resort at (304) 269-7400 or visit the website at www.StonewallResort.com.
