BUCKHANNON – Fire will reign at both Stone Tower Brews locations this weekend.

To celebrate the premiere of the “Game of Thrones” prequel “House of the Dragon” Aug. 21, both STB establishments in Buckhannon and Bridgeport will offer a feast of themed drinks and food. Set two centuries before the events depicted in “Game of Thrones,” “House of the Dragon” is based on fantasy author George R.R. Martin’s “Fire & Blood” series.

Stone Towers Brews manager Courtney Page said she was too excited to plan another themed event not to take advantage of the new show coming to HBO and HBO Max.

“These are just so much fun to plan; I am crazy, and I have a ridiculous amount of fun planning it and the employees really like getting in on it and pitching ideas,” Page said. “We test out all the flavors for the drinks and it’s a whole experience for the store, and as a staff, it helps us come together, work on stuff to prep and then you get to experience the event and it’s wild.”

The first featured drink was made in honor of the Queen of the North Sansa Stark, ‘Little Bird’s Lemon Cake Latte,’ a cake-flavored iced latte with lemon-vanilla cold foam. Daenerys Targaryen also has her own drink, the ‘Mother of Dragonfruit Palmer,’ which includes Smith Teamaker’s Lord Bergamot tea with dragonfruit, strawberry purée and lemonade. The ‘Blood of the Dragon Tea’ honors the entire Targaryen family with Smith Teamaker’s British Brunch black tea, featuring cantaloupe and blood orange purée.

In addition, northerners can warm up with the ‘Winterfell fog,’ a tea comprised of Smith Teamaker’s Lord Bergamot with apple and Mountaineer Bees honey and blended with oat milk and cinnamon. Another option on the menu is the ‘Wildfire Latte,’ which may not be able to burn down a fleet of ships, but it will spice up taste buds, as it’s a cinnamon and white chocolate latte topped with a sprinkle of cinnamon and cayenne pepper.

Those who live in Bridgeport can feed their Khalasar breakfast with the Dothraki Egg Wrapp-y, featuring chorizo, potatoes, 3 scramble, pico, jalapeño, and sriracha honey sauce from 6 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. At both locations, STB is also serving up ‘The Hound Chicken Deluxe’ with chipotle raspberry jam, smoked gouda, lettuce, tomato, red onion and bacon on a fried chicken sandwich with waffle fries; the ‘What Is Dead May Never Fry Calamari’ with a house-made remoulade sauce; and ‘Theon’s Bangers and Mash,’ with house smashers with polish sausage covered in an onion gravy.

‘A Crown for a King Nachos,’ with blue corn tortillas, black bean pico, avocado, shredded brisket and queso will be available only in Buckhannon.

Both locations will have themed waffles for brunch; Buckhannon will have Sansa’s lemon cake waffles and Bridgeport is doing White Walker waffles, which are lemon cheesecake with blueberry. Dough Re Mi has also created several themed pastries for both eateries during the weekend event, including a Mother of dragonfruit cheesecake, lemon cake bar and Black Castle brownies.

Check out the specials section under the menu section of STB’s ordering app for availability while supplies last.
