BUCKHANNON, W.Va. – St. Joseph’s Hospital salutes its nurses during National Nurses Week May 6 to 12. This year’s theme is “Year of the Nurse: Lead, Innovate, Excel.”
“We say a special thank you to all our nurses who, every day, provide compassion and dedication to our patients,” said Skip Gjolberg, President of St. Joseph’s Hospital. “During this pandemic, it is especially important to thank them for their hard work.”
National Nurses Week was officially enacted in 1974 and is celebrated annually. The week ends on May 12, the birthday of Florence Nightingale.
