St. Joseph’s Hospital physician clinics offering video visits for patients

BUCKHANNON, W.Va. — St. Joseph’s Hospital physician clinics are now offering video visits for established patients in an effort to provide timely follow-up care during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Video visits allow patients to see their providers and ensure that they receive the medical care they need for ongoing medical issues.

Video visits are available for family practice, internal medicine, general surgery, pediatrics, podiatry, cardiology, obstetrics and gynecology and chronic care management.  With a video visit patients can receive an examination, diagnosis and treatment; receive an after-visit summary with a care plan and follow-up instructions; and have prescriptions sent to the pharmacy of their choice.

Until May 15, 2020, WVU Medicine will waive all personal pay fees, including deductibles and co-payments.

Video visits can be completed by smartphone, tablet or a computer.  To schedule a video visit, call your physician office directly or direct message them through MyWVUChart. Your physician’s office staff can assist you in following the steps to set up a video visit.

For a list of physicians, call St. Joseph’s Physician Referral Line at 304-473-2200. For those without access, telephone visits are also available.
