Soccer Cats battle West Liberty to a 1-1 draw

BUCKHANNON — West Virginia Wesleyan men’s soccer team gave away a second half goal to the visiting West Liberty University Hilltoppers on Sunday and settled with a 1-1 tie.

The Bobcats’ Dillon Rajkovic scored his third goal of the season after a pair of passes by Adam Gribben and Dajun Barthley found him unmarked 15 yards out on the left side of the penalty box. Rajkovic hammered home the winner to the far post corner.

A stolen clearing pass deep in the Bobcat end gave the Hilltoppers’ Zachary Forehand an easy cross to the foot of Vitor Otsuka who kicked the equalizer into an open net in the second half for the tie.

The Bobcats host Gannon University Wednesday, Oct. 9 for a mid-week afternoon match starting at 2 p.m.
