Silver Alert issued for missing Upshur County woman

Update Tuesday morning: According to family members on social media, the Ms. Gum has been found.

The Upshur County Sheriff’s Department has issued a Silver Alert for a missing 70-year-old woman.

Karen Lou Gum, 70, was last seen in Columbiana, Ohio and may be traveling in a burgundy 2013 Toyota Rav 4, according to the the Upshur County Sheriff’s Department. She was last seen on Route 14 in Ohio headed to Route 51 in Pennsylvania and then to I-79 south.

Gum is described as 5-7, 120 pounds with gray hair, and was last seen wearing blue jeans, a light purple T-shirt, tennis shoes and glasses.

Anyone with information is asked to call Captain Mark Davis at 304-472-1185.
