CHARLESTON, W.Va. – The State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) is extending the application deadline for the Day of Service and Remembrance Grants.

This funding is designated to recognize and assist in the preservation of local and family cemeteries in West Virginia. Eligible projects include nominating cemeteries to the National Register of Historic Places, workshops & clean up days, interpretation, and rehabilitation. The deadline for receipt of applications submitted through our on-line portal (GoApply) is May 17, 2024.
