A serious two-vehicle crash in Mill Creek left two Randolph County Sheriff’s Deputies and another driver in need of medical care. The incident occurred as deputies were responding to a call on Taylor Lane, leading to a collision with a full-sized Dodge truck, according to a press release posted on social media.

“Prayers needed for two deputies and another driver after a serious two-vehicle crash in Mill Creek,” Randolph County Sheriff Rob Elbon posted on Facebook. “Deputies were responding to a call in Mill Creek on Taylor Lane and collided with a full-sized Dodge truck. The truck’s driver had three passengers who were not injured.”

However, the driver and both deputies were injured in the wreck.

“The truck driver was transported to [Davis Medical Center],” Elbon wrote in the Sunday morning post. “Deputy A. B. Beverly and Deputy B. M. Roy were transported to DMC. Deputy Beverly was treated and released. Deputy Roy is in surgery for a broken femur.”

The West Virginia State Police, led by Trooper Hall, are leading the investigation into the incident. Assistance at the scene was provided by Lt. B.A. Talkington and Chief Deputy B.T. Sharp.

Upshur County Sheriff Mike Coffman has offered the neighboring department any assistance they might need.

“Prayers would be appreciated for everyone involved,” Elbon said.
