Sam’s Pizza takes week one lead in Men’s Golf League

TENNERTON – The Buckhannon Country Club Bob Cupp Memorial Golf League started their 2024 season this past Wednesday with Sam’s Pizza jumping out to an early lead.

Sam’s Pizza defeated First Community Bank by a 25-15 score to land in first place in week one.

Feola’s Flowers grabbed second place with a 23-17 win over Highland Landscaping while Lisa Cain Edwards Jones landed in third place with a 22 ½-17 ½ victory over Custom Cabinets.

The other match of the week saw High Point Construction take a 21 ½-18 ½ win over Hank Ellis Insurance.

Kenny Tenney of Sam’s Pizza won Low Actual honors with a 37 while Tenney, along with Paul Dibiccari of Custom Cabinets, Mike Tenney of Feola Flower’s and Sam Nolte of Sam’s Pizza all tied for Low Net honors with 34s.
