WESTON, W.Va. – Robin S. Poling was recently elected to serve as the Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital Board of Directors Chair. Poling has served on the SJMH Board of Directors since 2011.

Poling is an avid supporter of SJMH and noted its importance in the community. “I am honored to be elected and will commit to serve as admirably as my predecessor, John Law. I think it is vital to Weston, Lewis County and central West Virginia to have an accredited, award-winning hospital, emergency/trauma department and associated clinics available here. Providing healthcare close to home is important for our community. With the strength of the Mon Health System, we can broaden our reach and offer additional services necessary for the health and wellbeing of our patients. I look forward to serving my community in this capacity” Poling said.

Poling is currently a sales manager at Stonewall Resort, a Benchmark Hospitality International property, a position she has held since 2002. Stonewall Resort considers Poling’s election a great honor and her work with the Hospital aligns with the company’s Hometown Hospitality initiative.

She is a graduate of West Virginia Univeristy with a Bachelor of Science in Resource Management and received a master’s degree in agriculture in 1986. Poling was a West Virginia University Extension Agent in Doddridge and Lewis Counties from 1982 to 1993. She has also served in roles including Director of the Lewis County Economic Development Authority, Administrative Assistant to the Lewis County Commission and Communications Director for the Institute for Scientific Research in Fairmont.

Poling is a graduate of Leadership West Virginia and has served as president for the Lewis County Chamber of Commerce, Lewis County Livestock Association, Weston Rotary Club and St. Johannes Evangelical Lutheran Church Council. In addition, Poling is the Lewis County Farm Bureau Vice President, Crawford Indian Trail 4-H Club Assistant Leader, West Virginia 4-H All-Stars – Life Member, West Virginia University Alumni Association – Life Member, West Virginia Cattlemen’s Association Member, West Virginia State Chamber of Commerce Member and West Virginia Manufacturer’s Association Associate Member.

She is the daughter of Clara Mae Spray and the late Joseph R. Spray. She has one sister, Carla J. Spray, and one brother, Joseph R. Spray II. Poling is married to Timothy M. Lester and they reside in Roanoke.
