Roaring engines heard at Elkins Raceway despite gloomy skies Saturday

KERENS – As dark clouds filled the sky Saturday, many thought regular racing would be canceled at Elkins Raceway. A little rain did not scare true racing fans away.

Mini wedge divisions began as the skies cleared. A beautiful sunset soon followed, turning a gloomy evening into the perfect racing conditions.

As the season is speeding by, races continue to heat up and the competition continues to be fierce. As the green flag fell, the upcoming checkered flag was all that mattered then.

Saturday’s feature race winners are as follows:

  • Younger Mini Wedges – Adley Green
  • Older Mini Wedges – Brad Currence
  • Super Lates – Billy Holbert
  • Crates – AJ Spagnuolo
  • Modifieds – Phil Jeffries
  • Street Stock – Jason Ammons
  • Hot Mods – Santino Loretta
