June 28, 2022, BUCKHANNON, WV — All City of Buckhannon offices, including the Waste Transfer Station, will be closed Monday, July 4th, to observe the Independence Day holiday.

There will be NO waste pickup on Monday, July 4th; the waste pickup schedule will be delayed by one day.

The City hopes that you enjoy this special Independence Day weekend!

West Virginia Prevention Solutions is hoping Upshur County will join several other counties in taking the first steps to implement a program modeled on a successful Icelandic initiative to reduce teenage drinking. It would start with an anonymous survey this fall.
