Randolph County fiber project will bring high-speed internet to 10,000 locations

ELKINS — Micrologic has announced the launch of the Randolph County Fiber Project, a groundbreaking initiative set to bring high-speed fiber connectivity to 10,000 locations within Randolph County. This $20 million investment aims to enhance the region’s digital infrastructure, foster economic growth, and improve the quality of life for residents and businesses.

This ambitious project is possible through partnerships with the West Virginia Office of Broadband MBPS Program and the financial support of Citizens Bank of West Virginia, headquartered in Elkins. Citizens Bank’s investment and commitment to the local community have been instrumental in making this project a reality.

“Micrologic is dedicated to investing in our community’s future. The Randolph County Fiber Project is more than just an infrastructure upgrade; it’s a commitment to fostering innovation, education, and economic development in Randolph County,” said Rob Hinton, President and CEO. “We are grateful for the crucial support from Citizens Bank of West Virginia and the collaboration with local partners.”

The project’s success is also due to strong partnerships with the City of Elkins, the Randolph County Development Authority (RCDA), and the Randolph County Commission. These collaborations ensure that the fiber connectivity initiative aligns with the broader goals of community development and economic revitalization.

“The Randolph County Fiber Project is a testament to what can be achieved when local entities work together towards a common goal,” said Mayor Jerry Marco. “This investment not only brings cutting-edge technology to our doorstep but also paves the way for future opportunities in education, healthcare, and business.”

By connecting 10,000 locations with high-speed fiber, Micrologic is setting the stage for a digitally inclusive community where residents and businesses can thrive. The fiber network will provide internet speeds, reliability, and access to essential online services, bridging the digital divide and fostering a connected community.

“Citizens Bank of West Virginia is proud to support the Randolph County Fiber Project,” said Nathaniel Bonnell, President. “This initiative exemplifies our commitment to investing in the community’s growth and prosperity. Together, we are laying the foundation for a brighter future.”

“The Randolph County Fiber Project underscores Micrologic’s dedication to delivering innovative solutions and advancing technology access for all,” said Robbie Morris, RCDA Executive Director.

As work begins on this project, Micrologic remains committed to ensuring timely and efficient deployment, with the goal of bringing high-speed fiber connectivity to Randolph County.
