Poling family announces return of fundraiser ‘Sack Lunches for Seth’ sale

BUCKHANNON – The Poling family has announced the return of the ‘Sack Lunches for Seth’ Sandwich Sale, scheduled for Nov. 9.

Following the passing of the 36-year-old Buckhannon native and Morgantown resident Cory Seth Poling from ALS on July 1, 2023, money collected through the fundraiser will benefit a family in West Virginia that suffers from Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease.

Lunches cost $15 and will include your choice of sandwich with cheese and lettuce, a bag of chips, dill pickles and a piece of cake. Please note that all orders must be prepaid, and the deadline for orders is Oct. 30, 2023.

Sandwich options include roasted turkey, oven-baked ham or pimento cheese. Lunches may be picked up from 11 a.m. to noon on Nov. 9 outside of Mt. Hermon Church off the Childers Run Crossing intersection with Route 33 and the old Elkins Road.

Delivery is available for five or more people and will take place between 11 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. You will be called upon the arrival of your orders.

Anyone who would like to obtain a form to place orders should call Seth’s mother, Mary Alice Police at 304-406-2909.

In compliance with Centers for Disease Control & Prevention and FDA recommendations, all food will be prepared with proper personal protective equipment.
