BUCKHANNON — Tallmansville artist and local historian Noel Tenney will host an expansive art gallery this week in downtown Buckhannon.

The Old Orchard Gallery will showcase Tenney’s newest work on the upstairs floor of the local restaurant and market, Fish Hawk Acres, located at 5 W. Main Street in Buckhannon. The gallery will be open for browsing this Thursday, Nov. 30, through Sunday, Dec. 2, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. each afternoon.

“I have several new pieces in the gallery,” Tenney said. “I have been working again with watercolor and Prismacolor pencils, along with new oil paintings and my ever-popular cut-paper pieces. My works will be available for purchase, along with my notecards and prints from other works, but everyone is welcome to just stop by to chat.”

Last year, Tenney hosted a “Late Summer Market” art gallery at the Old Orchard Gallery. This year, Tenney is eager for art enthusiasts to visit and ‘shop local’ in preparation for the holiday season. Consider giving the gift of locally made artwork, postcards, prints and more to loved ones this year.

Visitors are encouraged to look for a gallery sign on the sidewalk in front of Fish Hawk Acres Market at 5 W. Main Street in Buckhannon. Please note that the gallery is on the second floor of the building. If visitors require assistance on the staircase to the upstairs gallery, a chair lift is available for use.

Can’t make it to this week’s gallery? The gallery is always available for public viewing on weekday afternoons by appointment. Please contact Noel Tenney by email at noelwtenney@yahoo.com.
