Nancy Lee Cutright Hinkle

Nancy Lee Cutright Hinkle, 77, passed peacefully into the Lord’s arms on Sunday, Jan. 20, 2019 at home in Tennerton, W.Va., after 10 years with Alzheimer’s Disease.

Nancy was born Dec. 26, 1941 in Mullens, W.Va. and grew up in Excelsior, W.Va. with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde Burley Cutright and Myrtle Virginia Blackwell Cutright; her sister and brother-in- law, Patricia Cutright Kimble and husband Jerry Kimble; and her Father and Mother-in-law- Edward C. and Hilda E. Cutright Hinkle.

On Feb. 16, 1963, she married Edward Neale Hinkle of Tennerton, W.Va.

Surviving are her husband of 55 years, Edward Neale Hinkle, her son and daughter-in-law, Michael Edward Hinkle and Natalie S. Richards Hinkle; her daughter and son-in-law, Robin Ann Hinkle Page and Jimmy Eugene Page; and her granddaughter, Leanna Fay Hinkle, all from Buckhannon, W.Va. Also surviving are her brothers and sisters-in-law; Robert and Vicki Cutright of Elkins, W.Va.; John and Jewell Cutright of Excelsior, W.Va.; and Wilbur and Sylvia Nitz of Belington, W.Va. She is also survived by a step-granddaughter Saphire Page Chafin and husband, Jon of Huntington, W.Va., several nieces and nephews, and their families.

Nancy graduated from Buckhannon-Upshur High School in 1959. She worked part time at Stone and Thomas; the garment factory; and the Acme Bookstore. She loved to cook, bake, paint ceramics, garden and spoil her children and granddaughter. She loved to entertain family and friends especially when she could cook for them. She loved to decorate her home and do crafts. She enjoyed vacationing at the Outer Banks and Canaan Valley with her family. She grew up in the Sand Run Baptist Church and later attended Tennerton United Methodist Church.

Friends and family will gather at Tomblyn-Clutter Funeral & Cremation 21 Elnora Circle Buckhannon, WV 26201 in Tennerton, WV on Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2019 from 5 to 8 p.m.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2019 at 2 p.m. with Reverend Robert Anderson and Certified Lay Minister, Michael E. Hinkle officiating. Interment will follow at the Hampton Cemetery, Hampton, W.Va.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to West Virginia Hospice who was compassionate and caring to Nancy and the family. Donations can be made in her memory and mailed to: West Virginia Hospice, 6 Hartman Plaza, Buckhannon, WV 26201.
