Mon Health hospitals receive highest rating in West Virginia for patient safety

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Mon Health Medical Center and Mon Health Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital are proud to announce that both institutions have received The Leapfrog Group’s distinction for Hospital Safety in its Spring 2022 report. The Leapfrog Group’s Hospital Safety Grade rating is the highest earned by any hospital in North Central West Virginia.

Developed under the guidance of a national expert panel, the Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade uses over 30 measures of publicly available hospital safety data to assign grades to nearly 3,000 U.S. hospitals twice per year. The Hospital Safety Grade’s methodology is peer-reviewed and fully transparent. Results are free to the public.
