Wesleyan Men (4-4, 2-3)

The Bobcats snapped a three-game losing streak on Wednesday night with a 81-69 win over UVa-Wise … WVWC has been held to under 60 points three times this season (0-3) … the Bobcats are 4-1 when scoring at least 70 … Wesleyan leads the league in scoring defense holding teams to 70.1 points per game … the Bobcats have been out-rebounded in every game this season … WVWC, though, has committed fewer turnovers in all but one outing this year … after averaging just 6.7 made free throws per game in its first seven contests, WVWC made 22 on Wednesday against UVa-Wise … the Bobcats have four players in double figures but none are averaging more than 15 points per game … Dusan Vicentic is the leading scorer with 14.8 points per game.

WVWC Womens Basketball

Wesleyan Women (2-5, 2-3)

The Bobcats have bounced back from an 0-4 start to the season to win two of its last three … the lone loss in that stretch was a one-point setback against UVa-Wise … after giving up 73.5 points in the first four games, WVWC has allowed just 57.0 in its last three … Wesleyan is 2-0 in games that it shoots better than 40 percent from the field … WVWC makes an average of just 3.7 threes per game … Abi Gabauer and Victoria Jackson each lead the squad with 10.9 points per game … Jackson also adds 5.6 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game.
