Job Opportunity: Deputy County Clerk – Upshur County Clerk’s Office

The Upshur County Clerk’s Office is hiring a full-time Deputy County Clerk with benefits. Duties include records management, election support and payroll assistance. Applications and resumes are due by 4 p.m. Oct. 23, 2025.

The Upshur County Clerk is currently accepting applications for the position of Deputy County Clerk. This is a full-time role with benefits, and salary will be commensurate with qualifications.

Key Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to the following: performing general duties of a Deputy County Clerk, recording and transcribing meeting minutes, indexing official records, drafting correspondence, data entry, assisting with election preparation, supporting accounts payable and payroll functions.  Preferred skills include proficiency in spreadsheets with familiarity in mail merge tools.
