Margie Lea Posey

Margie Lea Posey, age 85, a resident of Philippi, passed away on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at her residence.  She was born August 19, 1939 in Buckhannon, WV a daughter of the late Enoch Jerome and Bertha Geneva (Burns) Posey. She was united in marriage to Byrel Edward Posey who preceded her in death July 21, 1968.

Margie enjoyed attending Faithway Baptist Church, reading Amish Mysteries, gardening, tending to her flowers and most of all spending time with her family. 

Surviving are children, Richard and wife Beverly Posey of Buckhannon and Marilyn Posey of Philippi

Grandchildren- Corie Posey and fiancé Spencer Powell of Florida , Uteva Dawn Chesser and husband Tanner of Tennessee and Kayle Jo Posey of Century

Great-Grandchildren- Aiyana Chesser, Salali Chesser and Riley Chesser all of Tennessee

Great-Great Grandchild- Octiva Chesser, Tennessee

Margie was preceded in death by her husband, Byrel Edward Posey; son, Eddie Posey and five siblings.
