The City of Buckhannon is hosting two “Make it Shine Events” beginning this Saturday – September 9!

Current subscribers to the City of Buckhannon Residential Waste Collection Service, whose garbage is picked up at their residence weekly, are permitted to dump a maximum allowable amount equivalent to two pick-up truck loads over the entirety of the event.

If you qualify, you are encouraged to clean up your yard and properties and bring the items to the Buckhannon Transfer Station on Saturday, September 9, and/or Saturday, September 23, from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Buckhannon Waste Transfer Station, located at 444 Mud Lick Road in Buckhannon.

Tires will not be accepted at this time. Additionally, items that utilize Freon, such as air conditioners, dehumidifiers, and refrigerators, are excluded from these events.
