BUCKHANNON — A log truck partially overturned, blocking both lanes of traffic on Route 20 in front of the General Store in Hinkleville on Tuesday afternoon.

A text alert issued by the Upshur County Dept. of Homeland Security and Emergency Management at 2:56 p.m. warned drivers to reroute around the accident.

“Avoid Route 20 South near the General Store due to a traffic incident,” the message read. “Road closed due to obstructions.”

The Upshur County Sheriff’s Office said a short time later that the road would be closed for an “indefinite amount of time.”
