Local author announces latest young adult fiction release, ‘The Hanging Night’

BUCKHANNON — Local author Sasha Hibbs’s latest young adult novel, co-authored with author Christina Hooker, is slated for release in December 2023.

“The Hanging Night,” Book 1 in The Threads of Fate Series, written with Hooker, is scheduled for release with Evernight Teen Publishing on Friday, Dec. 15. The novel will be available for purchase on Amazon and Goodreads.

Below is a summary of this latest publication.

“Does true love ever die? Yes. It does. Again, and again, and again.

Sixteen-year-old Josephine Blair’s world comes crashing down when her mom dies, forcing her to move states away to live with her eccentric aunts in West Virginia. Just when she begins to deal with her loss and settle in, she catches a thief, 16-year-old Caius Duke, stealing from her aunts’ store.

The problem? Caius isn’t just a thief. He’s much more, and they soon discover this isn’t their first meeting. Far from it.

Over the course of the summer, Caius is not only working off his punishment for stealing at Josie’s aunts’ store, but he’s also working against time to discover their origins in the hopes he can save them both from a curse that’s chased them across lifetimes.

A tale of twin flames whose paths collide over and over again, the sacrifices made in the name of a pure and true love, and the consequences of finding yourself on the wrong side of a scorned witch, “The Hanging Night will take you on a journey of an eternal love written in the stars.

Sasha Hibbs is the author of eight young adult novels and two short stories published by Evernight Teen Publishing, including “The Vulcan Legacies,” “The Boxer and the Butterfly,” Northern Pines” and “A Mad Awakening.
