Little Lady Bucs earn tie with Bridgeport, Little Bucs down Bridgeport in soccer action

BRIDGEPORT – The Buckhannon-Upshur Middle School soccer Little Lady Bucs and Little Bucs earned a tie and a picked up a win on the road against Bridgeport Monday evening.

The Little Lady Bucs fought to a 1-1 tie while the Little Bucs earned a 3-0 win.

For the Little Lady Bucs, Isabella Nottingham scored in the first half as the game was tied at 1-1 at the break.

Neither team was able to find the back of the net in the second half.

Hannah Kelley made an impressive 19 saves in net for the Little Lady Bucs while Zaia Lynch made one defensive save.

The tie left the Little Lady Bucs with a 6-4-3 record.

For the Little Bucs, they led 1-0 at the break and scored twice in the second half for their 3-0 victory.

Dominic Figueroa had two goals for B-UMS while Ayden Travise had the other.

Landon Wright turned away eight shots in net for the Little Bucs.

The Little Bucs improved to 8-3-1 on the season.

Both teams will be back in action Wednesday hosting Robert L. Bland.

The girls will play at 6 p.m. and the boys at 7 p.m.
