Lightburn’s restaurant at Stonewall Resort unveils steakhouse concept

Weston – (April 29, 2019) – Featuring 100% Certified Angus Beef with a “Prime” grading and a unique, creative selection of menu items, Lightburn’s Restaurant at Stonewall Resort has opened for the season.

“We’re excited for guests to experience our new steakhouse menu at Lightburn’s Restaurant,” said executive chef Nevil Barr. “As the only restaurant in the area to serve 100% Certified Angus Beef, guests are in for a real treat. And, we’ve developed a menu showcasing Appalachia-inspired flavors, like our smoked duck breast and whole roasted Appalachian Rainbow Trout, that guests will really enjoy.”

Barr said the steakhouse menu features a 16-ounce 90-day duck fat dry aged ribeye, 8-ounce beef tenderloin, Sous Vide 10-ounce Butcher’s Steak, among other items. The menu also features several burger options. The Dry Aged Steak Burger with shallots, Cabot Cloth white cheddar, secret sauce, chiffonade green leaf lettuce, house pickle and pepperoncini uses “Prime” steak burger (the best you can buy).

Entrée items include the Whole Roasted Appalachian Rainbow Trout with fresh herbs, lemon compound butter and ramps; the Tea Smoked Duck Breast with caramelized pears, Appalachian tomato jam and citrus foam; or, the Red Deer Osso Bucco with orange, parsnips, tender vegetables, molasses, fresh cranberries, juniper and house bacon; among other selections.

The menu also offers a robust selection of appetizers, sides, salads and desserts as well as several vegetarian and gluten free offerings.

“Lightburn’s is perfect for those seeking quality steaks, delicious burgers or inventive entrees,” said Barr. “And, the restaurant is situated atop the highest point of the resort’s 2000-acre property, offering 270-degree views of the lake and countryside.”
