The Lewis County Sheriff’s Office is seeking a man who cut his bracelet to escape home confinement, according to a notice distributed by the department Tuesday morning.

Danny Joe Helmick, 44, cut his bracelet and left his residence at 1818 Ellis Road in Linn, W.Va., the notice says. Helmick is described as 5-11, 250 pounds, with a tribal tattoo on his left arm and a tiger on his right arm.
