Lady ‘Cat netters fall to Davis & Elkins, 5-2

ELKINS, W.Va.– WVWC women’s tennis suffered a setback on Wednesday against the Davis & Elkins Senators.

The Senators defeated WVWC 5-2 in a matchup where the Lady ‘Cats couldn’t find their groove. 
In doubles play, the Lady Bobcats claimed the first matchup at No. 3 with a resounding win from Rebecca Osborne and Madison Chen. The duo took down the Senator pairing 6-0 for the early advantage. However, the Senators would persevere and take the remaining two matches to claim the doubles point.
 
Osborne and Chen continued their success in singles play, where both won their matchup. Osborne claimed a 7-6, 6-1 victory at No. 5, while Chen had a convincing win at No. 6, winning 6-0, 6-3. The Senators would claim the remaining four matches to win the contest 5-2.
