ROANOKE, W.Va. – A trio of West Virginia Wesleyan women’s golfers (Kiana Toole, Carleigh Bolyard and Remmey Lohr) finished in the top-10 on Thursday (Sept. 16) at the WVWC Invite at Stonewall Resort.
As a team, the Lady Bobcats finished tied for third place in the 18-hole, one round event.
Toole secured a second place finish after shooting an 80 on the par-72 course. The Australian sank three birdies. Bolyard, a Parsons, W.Va., native, placed fifth and shot an 85 after making 10 pars. Lohr rounded out the top-10 with an 89 to finish in a tie for 10th place.
Emma Bryan fired a 103 and Geneva Brown concluded at 109 overall.
Westminster (Pa.) won the event and shot a 342 as a team. Jalen Castle of Mars Hill took home medalist honors after registering a 79.
The West Virginia Wesleyan women’s golf team will return to competition in the Wally Edgell Invitational Sept. 20-21 hosted by Davis & Elkins at Canaan Valley Resort
