Lady Bobcat netters down Frostburg State

FROSTBURG, Md.– WVWC women’s tennis claimed a 5-0 sweep over the Frostburg State Bobcats on Saturday in a rain shortened contest. The Orange and Black put in a strong performance to claim a tough road win in Mountain East play. 

Julia Pinto got the scoring started with a straight sets victory at No. 2. Pinto dropped one game in the entire match winning 6-1, 6-0. Cayley Symons had an impressive showing at No. 3 winning her matchup 6-1, 6-1. Rebecca Osborne claimed a 6-1, 6-3 victory at No. 4 to give the Lady Bobcats a 3-0 advantage. Madison Chen and Molly Hull rounded out the scoring at No. 5 and No. 6. winning 6-0,6-3, and 6-2, 6-0, respectively.
