Lacrosse Lady Bucs suffer first loss of season in 14-7 setback to Fairmont Senior

TENNERTON – The Buckhannon-Upshur Lady Buc lacrosse team suffered their first loss of the season Friday night at home at the hands of the Fairmont Senior Polar Bears.

The Lady Bucs suffered a 14-7 setback.

B-U trailed by a 7-4 margin at the half and couldn’t make up that deficit in the second half as they were doubled up by a seven-goal margin.

The loss ended a 10-game winning streak for the Lady Bucs.

Miranda Greene led the Lady Buc offense with four goals while Hannah Walton, Paula Vaughn and Kierra Arbogast each had one.

Kaylee Black had a team-high seven ground balls.

Haylea Crihfield turned away 16 shots for Buckhannon-Upshur in net.

The Lady Bucs, now 10-1 on the season, will be back in action Tuesday as they face John Marshall on the road at 6 p.m.
