Kevin V. Materne

Kevin V. Materne, 65, of Pringle Tree Park Road, Buckhannon, died Friday, February 14, 2020, at his home, surrounded by his devoted family. 

He was born on June 25, 1954, in White Plains, N.Y., a son of the late Victor Edward and Catherine Downing Materne. 

On June 29, 1996, he was united in marriage to Catherine Elizabeth (Beth) DeBarr Materne, who survives.  Also surviving are two children:  Catherine Grace Materne and Garrett DeBarr Materne, both of the home; two sisters:  Kerry and husband Lance Koury of Buckhannon and Kim and husband Joel Harrison of Morgantown; one brother Keith Materne of Annandale, Va.; four nieces and nephews:  Meghan, Ryan, Josh, and Emma; three great nephews:  Logan, Cooper, and Keegan; and mother-in-law Cathy DeBarr. 

Kevin was a Christian by faith and enjoyed gardening, golfing with beloved friends, and spending time with his loving family.

At the request of the deceased, the body will be cremated.  A celebration of his life will be held privately by his family.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to WV Hospice, 6 Hartman Plaza, Buckhannon, WV 26201.
