TENNERTON – The Buckhannon-Upshur junior varsity Lady Bucs wrapped up their 2023-24 campaign with a 81-18 loss to Morgantown Wednesday evening.
The Lady Bucs had to play another game with no subs with just five players dressed for the contest.
The Lady Bucs fell behind by a 22-2 score after one quarter with the lone basket belonging to Martina Moto.
A three-pointer from Moto was the only points for B-U in the second quarter as they trailed by a 51-5 score.
Moto hit another three-pointer, Makenzie Egress and Kylie Hull each knocked down a basket and Taylor Feather added a free throw for the Lady Bucs in the third quarter, which went to Morgantown by a 17-8 margin.
That left Buckhannon-Upshur down by a 68-13 score going into the fourth quarter.
The Lady Bucs lost the final quarter by a 13-5 count with Feather scoring three points and Hull two.
Balderson made six three-points for Morgantown and led them with 36 points.
Moto paced the B-U offense with eight points.
The Lady Bucs closed out their year with a 0-16 record.
