Junior Varsity Lady Bucs drop 48-22 decision at home to Huskies

TENNERTON – The Buckhannon-Upshur junior varsity Lady Bucs managed just two first-half field goals falling behind by a 26-7 score at the intermission and wound up dropping a 48-22 decision to the visiting North Marion Huskies Thursday evening.

Makenzie Egress had the lone field goal of the first quarter while Gracie Gerwig had the only field goal in the second quarter for the Lady Bucs as they trailed by 19 at the break.

Buckhannon-Upshur won the third quarter by a 10-4 margin with Kylie Hull and Egress each dropping in three points and Taylor Feather and Martina Moto two each as they trailed 30-17 going into the final eight minutes of action.

B-U was outscored in the final quarter by an 18-5 margin as Egress had three points and Feather added two.

Chloe Aloe had a game-high 11 points for North Marion while Ella Thompson contributed 10.

The Lady Bucs were led by Egress with nine points and Feather who added five.

The Lady Bucs dropped to 0-5 on the season.

They will be back in action Tuesday at Grafton for a 5:45 tip.
