James Clyde Finegan

James Clyde Finegan, age 75, of Buckhannon, WV, died Friday, April 21, 2023, at the United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, WV.

He was born October 24, 1947, in Clarksburg, WV, a son of the late Blaine and Eula Reed Finegan. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ellen Finegan of Buckhannon; three sons, Jennings Cunningham of Buckhannon, Harold Cunningham and wife Hope of Lewisburg, WV and Michael Cunningham and wife Abby of Charleston, WV; four granddaughters, Cayla Helm of Dover, DE, Lana Cunningham of Lewisburg, Molly Peretz of Schenectady, NY and Charlotte Peretz of Charleston; two grandsons, Cody Helm of San Diego, CA, Liam Cunningham of Lewisburg; two brothers, William Welch and wife Liz of Perryville, KY and Gary Welch of Weston, WV and two sisters, Sherry Voldeck of Durham, NC and Susan Caldwell and husband Phil of Charleroi, PA.

Mr. Finegan was a RN at the St. Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Buckhannon.

Friends will be received Tuesday, April 25, 2023, from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the First United Methodist Church. A funeral service will be held 2:30 PM on Tuesday at the church with the Rev. Steven Meadows officiating. Burial will follow in the Post Chapel Cemetery in Crawford, WV.
