Golf Bucs fall in dual outing with Bridgeport

TENNERTON – The Buckhannon-Upshur varsity and junior varsity golf Bucs squared off in dual outings with the Bridgeport Indians last week at the Buckhannon Country Club.

The varsity Bucs dropped a 167-189 decision while the junior varsity Bucs lost a 172-269 decision.

For the varsity Bucs, they were led by Jaden Westfall who carded a 46.

He was followed by Parker Lockwood with a 47, Easton Perkins and Drahden Rice with 48s and Jevon Westfall and Jerin Westfall with 50s.

Tanner Straley and Brayden Stutler of Bridgeport both earned low medalist honors with 41s.

The junior varsity Bucs were led by Taylor Spratt with a 62.

Jacob Frye fired a 63 while Easton Gregory and Chace Wayne each owned 68s, Liam Davis shot a 70 and Brayde Wayts shot a 71.

Bridgeport’s Jack Gould shot a 41 for low medalist honors in the junior varsity outing.

The Bucs will be back in action Wednesday at Apple Valley with East Fairmont.
