Gary Miles Hollen

Gary Miles Hollen, age 79, of the Tallmansville Road, Buckhannon, died Saturday, January 14, 2023, at his home. 

He was born on May 25, 1943, in Upshur County, a son of the late Raymon Roscoe and Eva Maude Miles Hollen.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers:  James and Warren Hollen. 

He is survived by two daughters:  Brenda and husband John James and Barbie and husband Dewayne Burr; several grandchildren; one nephew Thomas Hollen and wife Tracie; one niece Judith Hollen; two great nieces:  Hannah and Kaitlyn Hollen; several close friends and caretakers:  Bruce Tomblyn, Donna Matthews, Larry and Rosalee Hissam, Terry and Barb Gower, and Becky Hoover; and his loving canine companion Pixie.

Gary was a talented mechanic and enjoyed working on classic cars and attending car shows. 

The deceased’s request for cremation was honored; a memorial service will be held at the Heavner & Cutright Funeral Chapel on Sunday, January 22, 2023, at 2:00 PM with Pastor Terry Gower officiating.  Friends may call an hour prior to the service.
