First Community Bank nabs first place in Bob Cupp Memorial Golf League standings

TENNERTON – First Community Bank took over the top spot from Hank Ellis Insurance after a big week in the Buckhannon Country Club Bob Cupp Memorial Golf League.

First Community Bank defeated Custom Cabinets by a 23 ½-16 ½ score to become the new leader with 65 points.

Lisa Cain Edward Jones had the biggest week moving up five spots from seventh to second place with a huge 27-13 win over Sam’s Pizza. They are right behind First Community Bank with 64 ½ points. With the loss, Sam’s Pizza dropped from third place all the way to eighth place this week.

Highland Landscaping moved up one spot to third place with a 23-17 victory over Hank Ellis Insurance, who dropped below them into fourth place.

The other match of the week had High Point Construction beating Feola’s Flowers by a 21-19 score.

Bobby Gompers of Highland Construction earned Low Actual honors with a 39 and Low Net honors with a 31.
