Final weekend: All-day skating at The Rink in Buckhanon is half-price through Sunday

BUCKHANNON — This weekend, Dec. 15-17, is the last chance to lace up your skates at the synthetic ice skating rink in downtown Buckhannon.

The Rink is open Friday from 5 to 9 p.m., Saturday from noon to 9 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 6 p.m. After this weekend, the portable rink will be relocated from Buckhannon to Snowshoe for the winter season.

Foster’s Marketing Group will be covering half the cost of an all-day skate pass for this weekend only at the Buckhannon location, meaning an all-day pass costs just $10. Skate rentals are included.

The Rink, a 4,800-square-foot synthetic ice-skating rink owned by Travis Foster, made its debut in Buckhannon this summer for the World Association of Marching Show Bands championship. It has since appeared at the State Capitol for West Virginia-grown national Christmas tree sendoff, and a sister rink has found a home at Stonewall Resort.
