Donna Starr

Donna Starr, 62, of Mick Hill Road in Buckhannon went home to Heaven on Sunday, Dec. 9, 2018.

Donna was born Dec. 22, 1956, in Riverside, Calif., a daughter of the late Harold and Jeanette Clevenger Wiig.

In addition to her father and mother, she was preceded in death by one daughter Lisa, one sister Brenda, and one brother Ron.

Donna is survived by her husband of 32 years Carl Starr; one daughter Christina Stephens and husband Alex; one son Daniel; one stepson Carl Eugene Starr and wife Michelle; five grandchildren: Brooklyn, Brenton, Bryce, Jake and Abi; one brother Rex and wife Cherry Wiig; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved pets that she loved and spoiled so much — Black Jack, Sam, Bud, and Sadie.

Donna was a retired medical transcriptionist. She started her career at the City of Hope in California and then moved on to start her own medical transcription service in California and New Jersey before retiring to live in Buckhannon.

She loved living in Buckhannon and being a part of the community. She enjoyed time spent with family and friends and especially spending time with her pets. She also enjoyed cooking and entertaining and loved her nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the Heavner and Cutright Funeral Chapel on Saturday, Dec. 15, 2018, from 11 a.m. to noon — the funeral hour, with the Rev. Robert F. Heavner officiating. Private graveside services will be held at the Horner Cemetery in Horner, W.Va.
